To me its kinda like Tori Amos/Sandy Denny pushing each other out of the way fronting Rival Sons with Jon Lord sitting in. Fucking primal. No need to keep reading you NEED to buy this recording right now. I did before the first song was over.

Art Fin Kind of like Grace Slick fronting Black Sabbath, this rocks in a vintage way that few new bands have rocked in generations. Favorite track: Hunger.

Scott Spiers When you put this album on your delivery method of choice, be prepared for a tripped-out and genre-bending musical journey. Get ready for crushing guitar, haunting vocals, a brief detour to the wilds of Oklahoma, some Americana references, deep blues and heavy psychedelia....The musicianship, across the board, is overwhelmingly good. Sisteria is a thunderous new psychedelic band from Norman, OK, spearheaded by folk-singer-turned-rock-goddess Katie Williams. With an alliance of accomplished players at her side, she spelunks into deep, primal consciousness to reclaim buried treasures of the self. From the outset, the band unchains itself from streaming algorithms and expectations, choosing instead to feed the desires of the art itself. Naturally, this fits the nature of psychedelic rock to a tee, but it also captures the album's themes of embodied spirituality.

Wow! Heavy rock that perfectly captures and modernizes the spirit of early 70s krautrock. The Inga Rumpf-reminiscent vocals are a real standout, rising this band a notch above other female-fronted outfits in the same genre, at least in my book. And then you have some über-intense instrumentals and a top-notch songwriting that makes the songs sound familiar and fresh at the same time. If their previous album was excellent, this one's really off the chain. muschiosauro
