about

Are u ready? Do u wanna? Get.In.The.Blender!!! Freak Juice is a band that is pushing the boundaries of traditional rock music by infusing hip-hop, jazz, funk, reggae, blues and the art of improvisation, into an innovative, fresh, hard driving and invigorating wall of sound and colors.

Freak Juice’s leader is the internationally known, nationally recognized and locally accepted, Tori Ruffin. Tori is the founder, chief visionary & controller of the blender, has a vast resume of work across multiple genres of music and has recorded, toured and hit with some of the heaviest and most iconic artists in music, including Prince, Morris Day, Lenny Kravitz, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, TLC, Bobby Brown, Slightly Stoopid, DJ Quick, SugaFree, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson, Euge Groove and H.R. from Bad Brains. In addition to leading Freak Juice, he is also currently gigging with THE LEGENDARY MORRIS DAY & THE TIME and has also toured & recorded with THE GODFATHERS OF PUNK ROCK AND SKA, THE OFTEN IMITATED, NEVER DUPLICATED, FISHBONE.

Where his incredible depth and creativity really shines is with his creation, Freak Juice. He feels even more fortunate to have found the newest additions to the Freak Juice family. Each member of the present line-up is a seasoned professional with many years of experience on stage as well as in the studio. Keeping things in the pocket and holding down the bottom, on bass guitar, Tulsa legend, Charlie Redd. Charlie has toured with Morris Day and the Time, Texas blues legend Jimmie Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt and LL Cool J. Holding down the beat, with power, finesse and more chops than you’ll find in a Bruce Lee dojo, Stanley Fary on drums. Stanley has toured with Tevin Campbell, Wayman Tisdale, Pink, and Nelly Furtado. The album also features Christian Mason, bassist & producer with T.I., Ledesi, & TLC.

Freak Juice’s latest album, “They Call Us Juice” has expanded the band’s intense sonic amalgamation. Listen closely to the track "Hypocrite" and as the guitars wail, the bass rumbles, the drums pound and the vocals soar, you will be instantly transported on a musical journey that is sure to stimulate your senses.
